History
January 2017
Our journey started in 2017 when we were students at EMINES-School of Industrial Management, an engineering school at UM6P. We worked on our idea as part of “Acte d’entreprendre” projects and we discovered our passion for technology entrepreneurship and our ambition to solve our continent's problems through our own inventions designed and manufactured locally. It was the beginning of a challenging, difficult and extraordinary journey.
April 2019
EMINES provided us with a scientific and technical background combined with business and management skills but more importantly it created for us a supportive environment for entrepreneurship. We spent 2 years part-time working on the idea of the solar-powered fridge which is BMTA&C’S project and 2 other projects : a digital smart glove dedicated to deaf-mute people and an eco-friendly machine that transforms plastic waste into fuel. We had the chance to make our first prototypes and tests. At the end of our curriculum, we had the opportunity to work exclusively on BMTA&C’s idea during 6 months full-time as our end-of-studies project starting from April 2019.
October 2019
We founded BMTA&C the day after our graduation and had a grant from our university UM6P to develop our technology. Since the beginning of our project, we have made 6 versions of our technologies and 6 prototypes. We have almost dedicated 3 years full time to develop our technology. We went through many iterations that helped us ,each time, to improve our theoretical models, our simulations and designs. We have proved that we have the skills, the determination and the patience needed to bring a hardware clean technology to the market. We are building a technology to address a real challenge in a challenging market ! That ‘s why in january 2020, our team went to the field and conducted market research. We spent many days with hundreds of farmers in Togo and Ivory Coast to test our value proposition. We came back with more determination and passion since we had the opportunity of seeing up close how our invention can change the life of millions of farmers and have a huge impact on the continent.
2021
BMTA&C had some amazing achievements, won prestigious prizes like the Grand Prize of the TFF Global Challenge, developed strategic partnerships like the one with EDF group and was awarded a grant to carry on the development of its technology.
January 2022
We filed a global patent application and we are ready to achieve more milestones. Get in touch with us to know more.
